Prudhoe Community Band is a Concert Band based in Prudhoe Northumberland.
We meet regularly on Saturday mornings throughout term time to rehearse and enjoy playing music together.
The band has 50+ players of all ages and abilities and welcomes new members particularly younger players. We have several families whose parents and children play together including one family of three generations!
Many younger players have developed their abilities whilst playing in the band and have gone on to study music in higher education and achieve very high standards.
We play a wide range of music to encompass the different levels of playing abilities within the band, but the emphasis is always on the fun and enjoyment of playing with other musicians.
We play at various venues throughout the year culminating in our annual concert at the end of the summer term.
The band is conducted by our musical director and renowned Trumpeter Dave Hignett, known for his boundless enthusiasm, exceptional musicianship and unique sense of humour!
